More safety!

September 6, 2016

Now it’s just a little less scary…

We have all been trained to dive safely and, most of the times, we feel even more protected by the expertise of the Dive Center or some of our dive companions. We feel safe, but we know that also little incidents might lead to bad consequences while underwater. Losing the dive buddy or, with him, not to find the rest of the group are little common examples of situations that might lead to an increased risk, especially if we dive with currents, at night and in areas with many boats.

SharkNet is a tool for our peacefulness. If, at the surface, we don’t find the boat or we are in an otherwise difficult situation, we can just double tap the device and SharkNet will start flashing and communicate our position to the contacts we registered: a call to the boater of the Diving Center, an e-mail to the DAN hot line and/or a text message to the friend that is waiting for us ashore.

We have a problem underwater and need immediate assistance? By releasing and letting SharkNet reach back the surface, the device will transmit the same messages, including our depth.

We activated SharkNet by mistake or our problem already solved? We double tap SharkNet: if it sent already the emergency signals, SharkNet will send out a second set of messages to all addressees, communicating that now everything is all right!

With SharkNet, just the pleasure of diving is left!
