Many of us choose or are obliged to go fishing by themselves. True: that is not the safest activity to do alone, but we still try to minimize the risks of syncope or drowning by keeping well clear from our personal limits of depth and time underwater. Every time we go out at sea alone, however, we also deal with a myriad of many other minor risks that still can lead to dire consequences: small incidents, sickness, strong unexpected currents and many other little troubles that might make it difficult for us to get back ashore or to our boat.
In all these situations SHARKNET is the solution. If you are at the surface, a double tap to the device makes it transmit an alarm message with your position to all the contacts you chose: they will be able to track your position and organize your rescue. Those of us that want to feel even safer might also give their SHARKNET number to friends or family that are waiting ashore and that will be able to monitor our position from time to time.
In case of underwater emergency we can still activate SHARKNET and have it reach the surface. SHARKNET will transmit the alarm but, realistically, somebody onboard the boat needs to be ready to rescue us…
Whatever our favorite spearfishing technique might be, SHARKNET gives us that increased level of peacefulness that enhances even more the pleasure of sea hunting!
